Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (commonly called “ERSEA”) are among the keys to a successful Head Start or Early Head Start program.  However, ERSEA requirements have been undergoing changes, starting even before the recent implementation of the most significant revisions to the Head Start Program Performance Standards in over 20 years.  Under the new Head Start Program Performance Standards, the ERSEA standards are at the heart of program operations.  Furthermore, the Office of Head Start continues to require full enrollment while, under the revised Performance Standards, encouraging agencies to provide more enrollment opportunities and services to vulnerable populations.  Additional changes have been made to all areas of ERSEA.  By attending the Head Start ERSEA Institute in Charleston, South Carolina, on May 23 and 24, 2017, you will learn the new ERSEA rules and ensure that you possess the keys to success for your Head Start or Early Head Start program.
